Leadership
Indiana University South Bend is a special place. As chancellor, I am proud to highlight some of the people, programs, and facilities that make the campus unique.
IU South Bend has grown into Indiana University’s third largest campus. Our connection with IU enhances the value of the education and diploma that students receive here. IU South Bend offers more than 100 programs in which students can earn baccalaureate and master’s degrees. These programs are taught by distinguished faculty who are dedicated to teaching and give students the personal attention they need to be successful.
The campus is wireless and features more than 400 computers in 13 computer labs. IU South Bend is connected to I-Light, a high-speed, fiber-optic network that is 20 times faster than a typical home Internet connection. Students gather at the Hammes Information Commons at the Schurz Library to study together and go to the Student Activities Center to exercise, eat and make new friends. The River Crossing Campus Apartments provide a safe and comfortable living and learning experience for students who want to live on campus.
IU South Bend is located near downtown South Bend and plays a vital role in the economic development of the region. Opportunities for civic engagement, research, internships and scholarships are available. The campus also attracts more than 200 international students each year and offers study abroad programs.
There is much more IU South Bend has to offer. I invite you to explore this website and discover how IU South Bend can help you.
